Stick and Move

A delirious elderly lady threw a punch at me last night. She really got her weight behind it, too. I cleverly dodged, because I have seen this situation before, and I've learned to always watch the hands of a confused patient.

Punch me in the face once, shame on you. Punch me in the face twice, shame on me.

  1. Make sure you don't just watch out for punches. I was bitten recently by a poor old dear (post CVA), who was only frightened. She thought she was being held captive etc.

    You know the drill.

P.S. For an octogenarian, her strength was phenomenal. It took four of us to stop her from running (and falling) down some stairs.

  2. works the same in peds too...bite me once, shame on you- bite me twice, shame on me : )
